Tribute Gifts
A thoughtful way to recognize a loved one, friend or coworker is through a tribute gift to NABA. No matter how large or small, your gift will help us meet the growing needs of the people we serve while paying tribute to someone important to you.
Memorial gifts are a distinctive way to remember a loved one or friend. Donors are formally acknowledged and the family of the deceased is notified of your special gift.
Commemorative gifts are a unique and wonderful way to celebrate life’s special moments – the birth of a child, a birthday or anniversary, a thank-you for exceptional care by a NABA Staff member or another caregiver. The honoree is notified of this recognition and the donor is acknowledged by letter.
Matching Gifts
Many companies support their employees’ philanthropy through a matching gift program.
Contact your human resource department to find out if you or your spouse may be employed by a company with a matching gift program.
Grateful Participant Program
If you are grateful for the care you received from a NABA Staff member, please consider making a personal gift to show your appreciation. You can recognize that special individual or team of staff members by making your gift in their honor.
All gifts to NABA help us provide the compassionate care and superior services that our community has come to expect. Your contribution will be used for the department or service if you wish to specify.
Host Your Own Event
Hosting a social activity or event is a great way for an individual, business or service group to significantly increase the reach of their philanthropy.
Consider holding a special event for your friends, customers or networks with NABA as your beneficiary: a night of bowling or cards, a picnic, tea party or chili cookoff, a walk, run or geocaching, to name a few. Your event will have an enormous impact on each individual reached by your kindness no matter how big or small your occasion may be.

Beneficiary Designations of Financial Accounts
Naming NABA as the beneficiary of all or part of your financial accounts, retirement assets, or even a life insurance policy is an easy gift to make.
Just contact the institution that manages your account or policy and request a change of beneficiary form. After you complete the form, send it to your institutional manager and please send a copy to NABA so that we will have a record of your intended gift and can properly thank you.
Charitable IRA Rollover
If you have significant assets in your IRA and you are over 70 ½, you can make an IRA Charitable Rollover gift directly to NABA and satisfy your minimum required distribution. Distributions from an IRA are normally subject to income tax, but by having your distribution directed to NABA, you will not be subject to income tax on this distribution. Please note, however, that you will not be able to claim a charitable income tax deduction for this direct gift.
The rollover legislation has been made permanent, so individuals can gift up to $100,000 per year in this tax-favorable way.
To make a qualifying IRA Rollover gift, instruct your IRA administrator to make a direct transfer to NABA. Please notify us of your plans so we can properly thank you.
Charitable Gift Annuities
A Charitable Gift Annuity (CGA) is a contract between you and NABA. You make an irrevocable gift of cash, securities or other property to NABA. In exchange, NABA pays you a fixed amount each year for the rest of your life. The lifetime annuity rate is determined by the age(s) of the named annuitant(s) at the time payments begin. When your gift annuity ends, its remaining principal passes to NABA.
Special rates apply for two-life annuities. The minimum gift to establish a charitable gift annuity is $10,000. An annuitant must be at least 60 years old when payments begin.
